Cleansing Fire

The longest story in the upcoming collection, A Cleansing Fire (coming in at just shy of 10,000 words), is now complete. This is the science fiction element in the collection and one of my personal favourites. It’s adapted from a short movie script I did a while ago and was a lot of fun to write. That’s 7 out of the 12 stories now complete and a draft for all the others bar one also…

Project name change

So the new project has now changed name to ‘The Devil’s Violin’. It’s one of the oldest short stories in the collection so I thought it was time to honour it by naming the anthology the same title. Legacy of the Father: Final draft

Well, I say it’s the final draft but is it ever? I’m putting the finishing touches to what I hope is the last draft before starting the arduous process of publisher hunting. It’s all new to me to find a publisher for a new novel being a debut author, but I’m realistic at how difficult this will be. I’m hopeful, and will broaden my shoulders, clear some space for the rejections, but keep optimistic, and…

The Survey

I’ve created a small survey to look into the reported declining incomes of writers that is being discussed in the media lately. This is for a masters degree in writing that I’m currently taking so if anyone has a minute, I’d really appreciate it if you could fill it in. It’s totally anonymous and doesn’t collect and identification data. Please head here for more details: http://craigandrewknight.com/the-writers-survey/ Thanks.
